Unexplained infertility is not uncommon. It does not mean however that there is no reason for infertility, it just means that the reason is not identified at a time.

It appears that in United States about 10% of couples suffer from unexplained infertility. So if your physician can not identify the problem, it does not mean that there isn't one.

For couples where contraceptives have been used for a long period of time it is often the problem is found in hormonal imbalance.  In other cases the problem could be in the male partners sperm count.

The main thing is not to panic and to identify the problem. There can always be found an explanation. So stay positive and don't give up.
